Question that the day: where does the Red Brick roadway in wizard of Oz go? below is the answer from Askville:In the original series of Oz publications written by L. Open minded Baum the red brick roadway goes come the Quadling country in Oz. Red is the Quadlings' state color. In his books, the soil of Oz was divided into 4 quadrants and each to be designated a details color: Winkie nation = Yellow, Gillikin nation = Purple, Munchkin country = Blue, and Quadling country = Red. Glinda the good was the leader of the Quadlings in L. Open minded Baum's Oz series. Together her bubble floats away from Munchkinland in the 1939 film, it shows up to be following the red brick road. Therefore, the red brick roadway most most likely leads back to her homeland, Quadling Country.

5.Baum to be not an especially consistent on points choose this.

They could change from one book to the next. Climate again, there to be no red brick road in the books. Over there were, however, at least two yellow brick roads.

7.I thrived up love the collection of Oz books as walk MiddleFingerMom in she childhood.

...I had actually the an excellent pleasure of analysis some of them to her in she last step of Alzheimer's (when she had pretty much reverted to she childhood). Both of united state with giant smiles top top our deals with as we dove ago into that world wholeheartedly....When ns was farming up, we had actually hardbound duplicates from around 1918 and also some from about 1937. The latter books had fantastic color bowl illustrations, but the earlier ones had actually MUCH much better pen-and-ink illustrations (I bet the Nome King from those STILL has the power to provide me nightmares - listed below is a book cover from 1927 -- not even CLOSE come the terrifying effects of the fat li'l hairball v stubby arms and legs marching ~ above Oz)....The Nome King, BTW, acquired "around the fatal and/or Impassable Deserts by tunneling UNDER them....I very recommend any type of of the number of dozen books from the series to children of any type of age....
